Samples of Miniature Sculpture by Robert N. Charrette

Some of the pictures below show the original sculpt. (It's green or greenish brown!) On some you may notice different shades of green. Sometimes of this shading is due to different mixes of the epoxy putty of which they are made, sometimes to different lighting conditions, but sometimes due to the piece being a "conversion," which is to say a piece created by modifying another piece. The older parts turn a darker, more brownish green after they have gone through the molding process and so stand out next to the newer putty.

The painted figures, being painted, don't show off the sculpture as completely, but they are more colorful (and painted figurines are the desired end product of these pieces anyway). I can't take credit for all the paint jobs (especially the EM4 stuff) but most are mine.

Dinosaur (unproduced toy company design)

This is a Tyrannosaurus sculpt that I did as a prototype for a toy company. It's mostly in a thermosetting plastic sculpting medium, but the teeth and arms are in my usual epoxy material
The overly large and not very anatomically correct hip region is due to the fact that the critter is supposed to pivot there (there's a bulky mechanism buried within the sculpture.)
